Employment

Simply put, it’s the people that make up Thayer Street that set us apart from the rest. Every person in the company is dedicated to producing high quality work and continually strives to be a leader in the industry. They work with integrity and passion which creates a rewarding workplace environment whether you are in the office, the shop, or in the field.

Thayer Street focuses on three main goals for our employees:

We Promote Employee Growth: We continuously send our employees to different trainings on and off site, engage in weekly safety meetings, and provide a formal review process with every employee which encourages open communication lines and helps develop career paths for each individual within the company.

We Promote Having Fun: Construction can be a challenging, high-stress, deadline-driven line of work, therefore we provide activities and company events to keep things light and reward our workers. From spontaneous pizza parties and holiday meals, to our long-standing tradition of “Crock Pot Friday’s,” our employees have plenty of opportunities to let loose and spend time together in a laid back environment.

We Promote Giving Back: Investing our time, experience, and financial resources to local organizations is an important aspect of Thayer Street’s culture. As a company we participate in varying community construction projects and are part of an internship program with the local technical school. The students are fully immersed in a hands on practice before they graduate high school and are viewed as potential future employees. Our investment in these students not only helps our company instill sound fundamentals in our future workers, but also helps promote our industry for the next generation.
